Flip Flop Saturday

It's that time of year again. Old Navy will be having another one day wonder doorbuster sale on solid colored flip flops for only $1.00 while they last. This Saturday 5/22 be there when the door's open or don't go at all, unless you're lucky. At the Old Navy near me, they be gone with the snap of a finger, as if they were free. I would be more interested in going if it was a weekday sale, but a Saturday I'll have to pass. Tried before and the racks were completely empty and I went like 30 minutes after opening. I like Old Navy flip flops. In fact they were the first flip flops I've ever worn in comfort. Happy shopping if you can grab them. I know there is a limit and I believe that is five.

I picked up Guitar Hero for $39.99 this weekend!!!!

Woo hoo can somebody say great deal! I absolutely love to shop around this time of year. Especially the clearance and bargains not that I’m a cheap person or maybe I am to an extent, but I most definitely love to grab me something that I consider a bargain to me versus paying regular price for something that isn’t on sale. So, I have a small habit of always checking out what’s been newly marked down in a store when time allows and what better time of year is this than right now with all the end of Holidays clearance sales and the semi annual sales where you can really rack up on some great deals.

I know you may be wondering by now where on earth did I manage to pick up guitar hero for $39.99? Well, it was at Meijers, if you never heard of Meijers it would put you in the mind of a Super Wal-Mart, Super Kmart and Super Target type of store which I call a one stop shop where you can pick up item’s like clothing and groceries all in one store. No, it wasn’t the newest guitar hero world tour. Though my guess is that this is the reason why they had the older version of Aerosmith marked down.

Well we never played the Aerosmith version of guitar hero which is currently priced at 79.99 in Wal-Mart right now, so we are just fine playing it even though they have a newer version out. I got the Wii version but they also had the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version on sale for $39.99 as well, this is the game plus the controller. The extra guitar’s which are normally priced at $39.99 for one was actually marked down for $9.99 so of course I picked up an extra one for a funner 2 player mode. Target is currently offering this bundle right now for the Wii at $149 for the bundle of 1 game plus 2 guitar controllers and I purchased the same thing at Meijers for $49.99 that’s a $100 saving, yippee!! Now that Rocks doesn’t it?

Random Deal of the day in arts and crafts

My random deals of family arts and crafts supplies for the week were at Michaels. Great deals on painting supplies, the 16oz size bottles of washable poster paints are currently on sale for $0.99 which are regularly priced at $1.99. I stocked up and purchased 10 bottles creating a savings of $10 not much but in these days any savings you can get counts, plus my boys will have enough painting supplies to hold them over for awhile. Along with the paints I picked up a refill roll of poster paper for their easel for $4 and a variety pack of paint brushes originally $4.99 for only $2.50 after using the clip out coupon from the sales ad. I love to shop during deals and bargains, every penny saved adds up.
